    Description

    Our client is seeking a temporary Finance Officer (ASO5/6) for a short-term placement based in Adelaide CBD. This contract will see you over seeing Financial functions within the small state government agency.

    You will have:

    · Recent experience in a role undertaking similar duties in a State Government Department or Agency

    · In depth knowledge of budget management, financial reporting and maintaining general ledgers

    · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills

    · Advanced MS Office skills and finance-related systems

    · A strong customer service attitude and solution focused team player

    Responsibilities:

    · Provision of a comprehensive financial and management accounting service including the detailed monitoring and reporting of the agency's budget.

    · Support and advice to agency staff on financial and procurement policies and procedures, corporate systems such as Basware, ANZ EMS, PARS etc

    · Preparation of reports such as those for compliance against Treasurer's Instructions, for FBT etc

    · Undertake reconciliations between systems
