    The TGHH Market Activation Strategy Officer is responsible for leading the development and delivery of local hydrogen market activation strategies for the TGHH Project. The position will conduct market research and analysis, identify potential suppliers and lead industry outreach. The position will coordinate project management, contract management and other tasks to successfully implement market activation strategies. The position will advise the TGHH Project Director and Steering Committee on relevant issues and recommend options for action.

    Period of Appointment

    Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight)for three years.

    Duties

    • Contribute to and manage aspects of the Tasmanian Green Hydrogen Hub (TGHH) Project in accordance with State Growth's Project Management Frameworks through the phases from initiation to project evaluation and closure.
    • Provide authoritative and consultative advice, plan, develop and implement appropriate strategies and processes in relation to market activation for the TGHH Project.
    • Identifying market activation project opportunities, including customer and market assessment, reviewing project concepts and proposals.
    • Develop and maintain an understanding of emerging energy transition technologies and projects as may be related to hydrogen.
    • Develop and review project documentation and provide accurate status reporting and briefing papers on matters affecting the successful delivery of the TGHH, especially in relation to market activation.
    • Develop documentation for decision makers, including for Steering Committees, Ministerial and Cabinet approval processes.
    • Proactively lead complex concepts and resolution of implementation issues with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the early identification of risks and associated mitigation.
    • Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders and applying a strong client service focus.
    • The position may be assigned other duties as necessary by the Project Director, TGHH.
    • Formal qualifications in Engineering.
    • Extensive experience and/or formal qualifications in project management.
    • Practical experience in renewables, hydrogen, and/or clean fuel industries.
