About the roleWe are seeking a full-time Maintenance Officer to join our team at our Croydon Park site.
You will be responsible for the general maintenance of the home, both internally and externally, ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents.
DutiesMaintain buildings, fixtures and fittings both internally and externallyEnsure programs for scheduled maintenance are designed and performed to enable to site to operate at maximum potential
Maintain outside areas to ensure they are always well-presented and safe
Ensure knowledge and compliance with respect of WHS, St Basil's Homes (SA) policies and procedures and Aged Care Quality Standards
Ensure the Resident's needs are met in accordance with St Basils Homes (SA) values
Promote a harmonious work environment, and recognise that every staff member plays a vital role in the delivery of care to our residents
Accept accountability and responsibility for your own work practices
Maintain efficient and open communication with all staff

Skills and experience
Demonstrated experience within a general maintenance role
Ability to show an interest/passion for working within an aged care facility, with a warm and empathetic approach
Experience working within a team environment
Related trade qualification (desirable)
2 years' experience working within a similar role
Effective communication skills (verbal, electronic and written)
A current National Police Clearance
COVID and seasonal influenza vaccination status to be provided.
