    Garment Technician - Nude Lucy

    About the Role

    As our Garment Technician will be responsible for the fit specifications of all Nude Lucy product ranging from categories across Apparel, Active & Swimwear following through from initial proto sample, SMS, pre-production samples to final shipment. This role will work closely with design and product team to ensure the quality of fit & workmanship across all styles is maintained at an impeccable standard and the design vision is executed accurately.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed garment specifications instructed by Design Team for all Nude Lucy Product.
  • Measuring all samples including prototypes, salesman samples & pre-production samples.
  • Attending all fittings and providing focused advice and input to improve & enhance the product, & problem solve any issues.
  • Updating all specifications with relevant changes from fittings.
  • Sending detailed fit comments including any make/trim adjustments to factories at 1st proto, SMS & pre-production stages.
  • Grading all specifications for relevant size range with tolerances.
  • Liaising with Factories on issues regarding patternmaking, sizing, fit & workmanship.
  • Continually aiming to improve and strengthen make quality, fit & workmanship standards across all styles.
  • Maintain critical path by meeting key deadlines such as new development / range handover and sending fit comments / updated specifications.
  • T be successful, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in a similar position
  • Tertiary education in Design, Pattern making, and Grading is essential
  • Advanced Pattern making skills preferred
  • Tech pack and garment spec knowledge is essential
  • In depth knowledge and experience in fabric testing and quality assurance
  • File Maker knowledge a bonus but not essential
  • Strong organizational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written & verbal skills
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure strong supplier relationships.
