    The Role

    The prupose of this role is to manage execution of assigned Projects specifically dams, roads, water bores, monitoring bores, water treatment facilities, pumps stations, tanks, irrigation and other water management infrastructure projects from concept through FEED, detailed design, procurement, contracting and construction.

    Key responsibilities of the position include:

    • Responsible to manage, supervise, coordinate and monitor performance of various engineering, procurement and construction contractors to deliver assigned projects.
    • Develop Project Execution Plans and coordinate other asset teams to ensure that project execution requirements are well understood and delivered according to plan.
    • Develop Project Schedules and coordinate other asset teams to ensure that project requirements and timing are well understood and delivered on time.
    • Develop Project Budgets and coordinate other asset teams to ensure that project requirements and budgets are well understood and delivered on budget.
    • Develop Project Risk Registers and coordinate other asset teams to ensure that project risks are well understood and mitigated.
    • Develop Project Contracts & Procurement Strategies and coordinate other asset teams to ensure that project requirements and contracting strategies are well understood and delivered.
    • Ensure Technical Assurance is carried out to comply with the Senex Project Delivery Process.
    • Develop Engineering scopes of work, Procurement scopes of work, Construction scopes of work, specifications, data sheets and schedules for Engineering Consultants, Equipment Packagers and Construction Contractors.
    • Review Engineering Consultant, Vendor and Contractor Proposals and CTRs in order to prepare Technical and Commercial bid evaluations and recommendations.
    • Coordinate and provide all necessary facilities and pipeline engineering input to the Compliance and Approvals team to ensure that all necessary approvals are understood and are in place in a timely manner.
    • Management of equipment package and material supply contracts, including review and approval of design deliverables, co-ordination of contract kick-off and weekly progress meetings, co-ordination of inspection activities, final inspection and testing (FAT), and release and co-ordination of shipping to site.
    • Develop and populate the Senex digital CCMS with all system technical details during the detailed design phase.
    • Provide cost estimates for budgeting and economic evaluation purposes as required to support preparation of AFE's for delegated projects.
    • Ensure regular Contractor progress reporting is monitored in terms of progress, risks, issues, cost and schedule.
    • Ensure engineering design satisfies all necessary internal, external and regulatory approvals.
    • Ensure review and approval of all design documentation is carried out.
    • Ensure that facilities projects are "fit-for-purpose" to meet required deliverables in terms of design, materials, and construction techniques.
    • Ensure sufficient Operations & Maintenance input is integrated with design at appropriate times.
    • Coordinate the interface and communication of information related to Site Construction activities with the Construction Manager.
    • Technical surveillance of construction contractors to ensure Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Operations Readiness activities are carried out, and that documentation is progressively signed off in the CCMS. Ensure successful handover to the Operations and Maintenance Team is completed in accordance with the Senex Project to Asset (P2A) process.

    The incumbent will require the following qualifications and experience:

    • 15+ years of experience in upstream Oil and Gas Project development.
    • 10+ years of Engineering experience.
    • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a thorough knowledge of project management and delivery practices.
    • Engineering Degree or relevant Tertiary Qualifications.
    • Specific experience with water related infrastructure
    • Understanding of relevant Australian and International Standards including AS4041, AS2885 and B31.3.
    • Responsible to conduct Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, Emergency Response Plans, Commissioning Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Understanding of CSG industry
    • Proven ability to manage multiple small projects within a small team.
    • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities to deliver Senex targets.
    • Proven ability to work with all disciplines and teams across the Senex Energy business.
