Our client, a large Federal Government organisation, whose focus is to support Australian's work environment & culture, are Seeking the experience of a Network Engineer (Cisco, F5 & FortiGate) for a long month contract, based in Canberra ACT.

Duties of the Network Engineer (Cisco, F5 & FortiGate)

• Troubleshooting and managing various network devices and services such as switches, routers, firewall and in particular F5 Load Balancers/application delivery.
• Performing a broad range of activities associated with the management and support of network services across the departments Datacentre, LAN, WAN and Wireless networks.
• Working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective delivery of technical programs and network projects.
• Developing and maintaining network documentation.
• Maintaining the security of the network environment by performing various duties such as patching and hardening platforms.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience managing, administering, and maintaining network infrastructure such as Cisco switches, routers, and Wireless LAN Controllers.
• Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining FortiGate Firewalls.
• Demonstrated expertise working with F5 load balancers and application delivery.
• Demonstrated experience of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Working knowledge of network security and standards, specifically the Information Security Manual (ISM) and integration of relevant controls within an enterprise network.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and/or relevant industry certifications (desired).
• Knowledge and experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure (desired).
• Knowledge and experience with Cisco Identity Service Engines (ISE) (desired).
• Knowledge and experience with networking technologies such as Cisco ACI (desired).
