    Newly developed role with a specialist software & IT consultancy business.

    Advance Business Consulting has been helping its national network of customers know more about their business, run leaner and operate safely for nearly 25 years.

    The team at Advance are passionate about constantly innovating and employing appropriate disruptive technologies to achieve real, sustained business impacts for our customers.
    Key duties * Develop and execute a strategy to generate new business opportunities.

    • Opportunity qualification and progression to closure
    • Manage existing accounts to ensure satisfaction and sales growth

    Demand generation - working with our marketing team to: * Identify targeted accounts

    • Manage the creation and promotion of required marketing content.
    • Organise and manage a dynamic calendar of promotional events

    Pipeline management * Identify, clarify and confirm the business case for change

    • Manage the required activities for progression to close
    • Negotiate resources and terms for a successful contract

    New project management * Ensure that new projects are successful for both customer and our team(s)

    • Regularly meet with customers to ensure that project is on-track
    • Negotiate scope creep and variations

    Account management * Plan to meet with existing accounts regularly – schedule and prepare for the meetings

    • Identify opportunities
    • Ensure customer satisfaction

    About you:

    If you like variety, challenges and making a real difference to businesses, and you enjoy problem solving employing smart IT-driven systems, this may be the role for you. You would be working with marketing and technical teams to develop strategies which will enable business growth.

    • Experience within software sales (pre-sales, sales or post-sales support)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
    • High level of personal motivation and initiative
    • Attention to detail and analytical approach to day-to-day tasks
    • Experience in managing and growing accounts
    • Qlik, Power BI, R or Tibco would be highly regarded
