    About the Role

    The Coordinator at St Gregory's Primary is required to teach and undertake the normal duties of a teacher and carry out leadership duties including monitoring teaching and learning, leading curriculum implementation, monitoring programming, supporting catalyst understanding and implementation, managing student behaviour, managing relief staff, working collaboratively to develop and achieve the school annual improvement plan.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and drive curriculum development and innovation across the relevant subject areas
  • Mentor, develop and manage staff through coaching, and supervision.
  • Undertake regular professional development
  • Have the capacity to teach a variety of year groups from Kindergarten to Year 6.
  • Leading professional conversations to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs using research and workplace knowledge about how students learn.

    Qualifications

  • Must hold a NSW Working with Children Check registration
  • Must hold a NSW Education Standards Authority accreditation.
  • Must have completed relevant education/teaching tertiary qualifications

    Selection Criteria

    1. A sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and NSW Curriculum with the ability to lead others to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning.
    2. Management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments including managing challenging student behaviours and meeting a variety of learning needs.
    3. A comprehensive understanding of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.
    4. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents.
    5. The capacity to be a proactive member of a professional learning community complying with legal, administrative and professional requirements.

    6. You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
