Lodge Maintenance Manager - Darwin

Responsibilities

• Provide operational maintenance support for local site management across all Outback Spirit lodges.
• Oversee ongoing maintenance activities across our lodges, efficiently troubleshooting issues as needed and ensuring timely execution of preventative and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Travel to remote lodges as required for diagnosis, planning and ongoing monitoring, representing Outback Spirit in a professional and respectful manner.
• Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to both guest experiences and the living conditions of our staff.
• Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance procedures, ensuring streamlined processes, efficient inventory systems, and timely reporting of consumables and spare parts within budget.
• Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, negotiating pricing and service level agreements to achieve optimal value.
• Maintain up-to-date compliance registers and ensure satisfactory records of all maintenance activities.
• Liaise professionally with Lodge Managers and staff regarding maintenance requirements, fostering collaborative relationships.
• Address electrical, plumbing, structural and refrigeration breakdowns, conducting on-site assessments to uphold high standards of asset reliability and availability.
• Collaborate with support functions such as Workplace Health & Safety, Human Resources, Aviation and Finance to effectively direct staff queries and coordinate maintenance works effectively.
• Be a proud advocate for Outback Spirit and the Journey Beyond brand, promoting a bigger picture attitude that reflects our commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
