    • Fixed Term Contract - 11 Months

    Our Government & Defence division provides specialised logistics expertise, including relocation services. We work with clients at all levels of government to deliver an extremely diverse range of logistics solutions - from the distribution of healthcare products, managing the relocation of their employees, delivering fleets of government vehicles, through to helicopter rescue services.

    We have an exciting opportunity available for Procurement Officer to join our Government & Defence 4PL Services business, based at St Killda Rd, Melbourne, where we provide end-to-end supply chain management of commodity products and relocation services to our Australian Defence Force customers.

    The range of activities across multiple roles include:

    • Sourcing new and alternative products across multiple categories as required by our customer
    • Creating and executing category and supplier strategies
    • Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Purchase Orders for our customer
    • Providing regular updates on delayed Purchase Orders to various stakeholders, including internal and external
    • Maintaining our online catalogue in Ariba to enable purchasing and provide accurate product information to our customer
    • Managing our suppliers' performance on transactional and strategic levels
    • Providing regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
    • Identifying and implementing improvements and opportunities to improve Toll's service levels to our customer

    Required knowledge/experience:

    • Track record of a minimum 3 years' experience in Supply Chain or Procurement
    • Good understanding of contract management and supplier management
    • Proven experience in the coordination and effective delivery of multi-disciplined performance-based contracts
    • A good understanding of internal controls, governance routines and key risk factors, preferably for Government clients
    • Proven root cause and problem solving abilities
    • Experience in operating in a continuous change/transformational environment
    • Competent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI experience is also desirable.
    • Straightforward, pragmatic approach and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Competency in managing competing priorities in a calm, efficient and effective way
    • Ability to gain and maintain up-to-date supply chain industry knowledge
    • Commitment to performance; ability to identify key issues that impact the business and take appropriate action to reduce or remove their impact
    • Strong commercial business acumen, analytical skills, and preparation of meaningful reports based on data
    • A team player

    Qualifications

    • A university degree in supply chain or business is desirable
