    Description

    The role:

    • Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager - Infection Prevention Control Unit (Nurse Manager), provide a defined, high standard infection control cleaning service across the Launceston General Hospital.

    Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.

    Details of Appointment

    • Fixed term part time, shift-worker position working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from 14 May 2024 until 15 May 2026
    • Fixed term casual, shift-worker position working as and when required, commencing from 19 May 2024 until 18 May 2025

    *notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

    • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

    Salary: $60,666 - $63,222 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

    • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

    Eligibility:

    Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

    1. Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations)

    The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‐employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

    1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
    2. crimes of violence
    3. sex related offences
    4. serious drug offences
    5. crimes involving dishonesty
    6. Identification check
    7. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
