    About the Unit

    The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world and we have also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica. Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.     Responsibilities

    Looking for an exciting new challenge? Yara are seeking applications for their 2-year fixed-term role of Capital Projects Supervisor. Reporting to the Capital Projects Execution Superintendent, the Capital Projects Supervisor will supervise and lead teams of contractors that are engaged for Capital Projects at Yara Pilbara to ultimately improve safety, reliability and plant uptime in a safe manner. The role is required to be a dedicated point of contact from the contractor supervision level and be a focal point from onboarding, permits, clearances and safe executions.

    The primary responsibilities include:

    • Onboarding of the contractor including, vehicle access, MMP and completion on Contractor Safety Checklist
    • Walking the works and having relevant permits and clearances in place
    • Supervise and assist the coordinators for all Capital Projects across site
    • Liaise with operations and maintenance departments for site services where required.
    • Develop and maintain stock levels of consumable materials for continuity of supply
    • Execution of planned work in accordance with contract

    Profile

    • CERT IV in mechanical trade
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar industry (Petrochemical, Gas Processing or Oil Refining);
    • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience supervising contractors
    • Supervision in at least 2 of the below disciplines:
    • Construction
    • Cranes and rigging
    • Projects execution
    • Petrochemical Plant Maintenance
    • Experience in the construction of renewable power plants, renewable hydrogen production and associated risk assessments experience will be highly sought after.
    • SAP skills are a distinct advantage
    • Intermediate/Advanced MS Office suite experience
    • Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential.
    • Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency. Temporary work visa holders are not eligible for this role.
