    We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker tojoin the team at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home and Village,located in Eaton. Bethanie Fields is one of our larger homes with160 beds and is designed specifically to provide support for peoplewho need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs anddementia.

    About the Role

    As a Maintenance Worker, you will support our Facility Managerand in turn, our residents with maintenance services across theaged care home and village. This rewarding position will fulfilyour interest in providing a supportive and compassionate serviceand giving something back to the community. Duties willinclude:

  • Ensuring the buildings, plant and equipment and other assets are maintained in a serviceable condition
  • Testing and tagging out equipment, minor painting and plaster repairs, basic plumbing repairs and general labouring duties
  • Using a tablet for logging and completing works in our maintenance system
  • Maintaining records of all maintenance performed
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in a safe working condition
  • This is a casual role to cover periods of leave, with thepossibility of picking up additional shifts at Bethanie Elanora inBunbury and Bethanie Dalyellup as required. The pay rate for thisrole will be $30 per hour, plus super and other salary packagingbenefits.

    About You

    You're comfortable working on your own, but also enjoy workingin a team dynamic too.

  • Current drivers licence
  • Previous experience in aged care is desirable
  • Ability to communicate with employees and care recipients
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements
  • Literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to perform the role and basic computer skills
  • Current National Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one
  • Compliance with our vaccination policy, which requires all employees to have at least three COVID-19 vaccinations and the annual flu vaccination
