RESEARCH ASSOCIATE TO PRESIDENT BUSSApplications are sought from law graduates for the position of Research Associate to President Buss of the Court of Appeal of Western Australia.

This is a full-time position.
The appointment will be for a period of about 5 months, beginning on
2 January 2025Prospective applicants should possess the following attributes:

• A law degree, or nearly completed law degree;
• A high level of academic achievement (Honours or equivalent is desirable, but not essential);
• High-level research and analytical skills;
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills; and
• Editorial skills are an advantage.

Prospective applicants must also possess a C-class driver's licence.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake legal research and produce written work for
President Buss.
There are also requirements to carry out administrative functions in preparation for
court sittings and to attend in court and act as a Judicial Support Officer.
Service in this position may fulfil the work experience component of Practical Legal Training
courses approved by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia.

Applicants who have already been admitted to practice as a lawyer
and would welcome the experience of working as an Associate are also encouraged to apply.
