    Role Summary:

    Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Floor Coordinator to join its team in a permanent, full-time position. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the provision of a safe, efficient, and effective service to patients and Visiting Medical Officers within Perioperative Services.

    About the Role

    The Theatre Floor Coordinator will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, direct support, and coaching to staff within the department. They will focus on enhancing the patient experience and quality of services, while also coordinating clinical activity to maximize efficiency.

    The successful candidate will have advanced clinical knowledge and experience in a relevant area or specialty. They must also be able to communicate complex information effectively and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Perioperative Nursing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate clinical activity to ensure efficient service delivery.
    • Provide clinical expertise, direct support, and coaching to staff.
    • Liaise with wards, other departments, and personnel to ensure seamless operations.
    • Work collaboratively with other team leaders to maintain high clinical standards.
    • Identify and communicate quality improvement ideas to enhance patient care.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

    • Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency.
    • Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in Perioperative Nursing.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information effectively.
