    Description

    The Opportunity:

    NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are after 2x HSE Advisors to join their site safety team for a large-scale construction project.

    This is an ongoing contract which is expected to run for at least 12 months, with the potential for extension tied to construction & commissioning works.


    The Role:

    Site-based role Monday to Friday either local to Bunbury and surrounding areas or potential for DIDO from the Perth & Peel regions.

    Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, this role is critical to driving health and safety performance on site.

    Duties and responsibilities will include:
    Assist in maintaining and enhancing health and safety components of the business management system.
    Participate in the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of health and safety procedures, plans and documents.
    Coach team leaders and contracted workers in the application and enhancement of health and safety process (i.e.
    permit to work and lock out, tag out).
    Lead and participate in health and safety audits & inspections.
    Provide operational support to the Execution Leads and the Project Team.
    Facilitate, assist and coach event investigations.
    Support site leadership in the close out of identified corrective actions, communicate lessons learnt to relevant site stakeholders.
    Support and positively promote the behaviour-based safety programs through coaching and mentoring.
    Participate in risk assessments and prestart safety reviews.
    Assist in the execution of the operation's industrial hygiene monitoring program.
    Work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture.
    Own and manage site based HSE registers, data bases and records, Regularly review for accuracy and currency.
    Assist in compiling reports in a timely and accurate manner.
    Attend & contribute to various meetings regarding health & safety performance.

    The Requirements:

    Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent qualification)Strong understanding of Australian OHS legislation Strong experience either client side or for an EPCM on major construction projects within Mining, Chemicals, Oil & Gas or similar industries.
