    Position Title :

    Senior Laboratory Manager

    Purpose of the Role :

    The Senior Laboratory Manager will support the project by performing construction materials testing on soils, aggregates, and concrete. He will be responsible for delivery in time respecting the Construction schedule the Mix design, laboratory tests results, Laboratory quality reports. He will be also responsible of all the Laboratory activities and responsible of the relative laboratory staff, laboratory buildings and laboratory equipment, coordinating and managing the activities of the laboratory.

    Experience:


    • Minimum 8 years of experience performing laboratory tests on construction and geotechnical materials


    • Exposure working on a major civil infrastructure project of comparable size and complexity to the Snowy 2.0 project.


    • Experience establishing and managing laboratory tests for construction and geotechnical materials

    Required Competencies :

    • Ability to collaborate across technical functions, site construction engineers and external stakeholders Sound interpersonal skills

    Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:


    • Knowledge and physical ability to perform laboratory testing of soils, aggregates and concrete ensuring that the laboratory testing services are conducted in a safe manner and consistent with company quality protocols, project requirements, and in a timely manner.


    • Knowledge and physical ability to develop and review concrete Mix design.


    • Oversee or coordinate the training and utilization of laboratory staff.


    • Oversee or coordinate the maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory and testing equipment


    • Works with the Department Manager(s) and the Branch Manager during preparation of proposals and quotations for laboratory testing services to ensure proper scoping of services, availability of employees, and appropriate pricing to render a profit


    • Builds and maintains an appropriate relationship with relevant Client and Subcontractors representatives


    • Maintains productive relationships with the government representatives and other key stakeholders


    • Directs all community enquires to the Community and Stakeholder Department
