Senior Legal Response Analyst - Australia Plains - Discord

Description

Discord is seeking a Sr. Legal Response Analyst to join our growing Legal Response team. As a Sr. Legal Response Analyst, you'll manage Discord's responses to sovereign reporters inquiries and requests. You'll also contribute to team projects while working closely with cross functional partners.

The Legal Response team currently manages law enforcement, intellectual property, and privacy requests. Reporting to our Senior Manager of Legal Response, you'll contribute to the team's core work by overseeing sovereign reporter operations and assisting in other key areas as well. You will have the opportunity to create documentation and best practices, and be involved in high impact work streams.

What You'll Do:

• Manage sovereign reporter inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Manage overseeing global government removal requests for illegal content.
• Create and build on existing metrics to provide visibility to senior leadership.
• Review sensitive content and action accordingly based on our enforcement policies.
• Handle law enforcement inquiries and requests for information.
• Create and update documentation for certain workflows and policies.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency disclosure requests.

What You Need:

• Previous experience working in trust and safety, legal response, or similar role.
• Familiar with laws and regulations related to illegal content and data disclosures.
• Ability to handle a high volume of legal document intake and processing.
• Analytical approach to gathering and presenting data to inform decisions and the ongoing tracking of success metrics.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to find opportunities for improvement & process efficiencies.
• Comfort with reviewing sensitive, explicit, and/or potentially disturbing content.
