    We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Account Director with our awesomePRteam focusing on Beauty, FMCG & Retail. This rolecan be based in either based in Melbourne or Sydney.

    Dentsu Creative Public Relations is a full-service agency bringing together the expertise of heritage brands Haystac (consumer and brand), Cox Inall (behaviour change, corporate and agribusiness) and Cox Inall Ridgeway (First Nations) into a single agency offering.

    The role:

    As the Account Director (AD) , you will assume direct responsibility for every aspect of the day-to-day management of client work in the Consumer team, including traditional earned media, and Influencer relationships. You will be responsible for developing efficient pitching strategies, building great media relationships, understanding the Beauty/FMCG/F&B/Retail landscapes and the appropriate mediums for crafting stories.

    New business is also an important opportunity for this role, and you will have the chance to work closely with leadership to bring in new accounts, strengthen our partnerships across Australia, and stretch your network with exciting opportunities throughout the Dentsu Group.

    As our next AD, you will ensure tasks are completed effectively, work is carried out to the high standards set, deadlines are met, budgets are properly created and managed, above-average results are achieved and appropriately presented, and clients are happy.

    Core responsibilities:

  • Provides counsel to clients; maintain and build key client relationships
  • Oversees and leads a wide variety of communications programmes across multiple channels that meet client objectives
  • Creates the development of plans, proposals, results reports, creative briefs and other communications documents
  • Helping to drive the team to deliver, media releases, pitch notes, media releases
  • Leadership and direction for a team and national resources
  • Organises, directs, and collaborates effectively across teams to achieve results.
  • Manages client finances together with Group Business Director and finance team, including allocation of resources and time management
  • Maintain routine contact with key client stakeholders when appropriate. Regularly seeks client feedback on the team's performance.
  • A bit about you:

  • Proven success with Earned Media – Traditional PR or Newsroom (Influencer experience nice to have)
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management and ability to craft genuine and value-add connections with our clients
  • Have an innate understanding of what makes news, how to develop story angles and be able to pitch ideas to the media effectively
  • Highly competent in a range of PR services, including storytelling, media relations, copywriting for specific regulation environments and styles that suit different media targets
  • Excellent knowledge of the media – the ability to manage a media relations campaign and pitch stories independently
  • 5yrs-7yrs PR SAM or AD role - able to demonstrate excellent writing strategies, social copy and media releases from this time
