    Toll Helicopters are currently seeking a qualified professionals looking to join a team which delivers helicopter services to the Australian Defence Force at our Townsville location.

    About Toll Helicopters

    Toll Helicopters is an experienced provider of specialised mission-critical helicopter services and training for Government, Defence and the civil sector, operating on a global scale.

    We work with our clients to achieve their mission safely, on time and on budget every time. We lead the field in helicopter emergency medical services, search and rescue operations, airborne law enforcement, training and logistics support – often in remote, inhospitable and challenging locations.

    The Role

    Toll Helicopters, are looking for a Trade Assistant to join our Townsville Helicopters team.

    This position is based in Townsville, working on 14 day roster. 8 days on/6 days off.

    You will be responsible for supporting the engineering team by performing basic aircraft service requirements including general aircraft wash, lubrication tasks, towing and trades assistant tasking activities. This includes support for aircraft spare parts logistics, tooling maintenance, Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) maintenance activities.

    Experience / Qualification / Attributes

    Toll Helicopters requires all applicants be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and credentials:

    • Adhere to Toll Helicopters Safety, Environmental, Engineery and other policies
    • Ability to obtain and hold a Defence (AGSVA) Baseline security clearance and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
    • Hold an unrestricted C-class driver's licence.
    • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices
    • Good level of computer and IT skills
    • Possess an aptitude and demonstrable skillset for aircraft related work would be beneficial
    • Current Forklift license (desirable, not necessary)
    • Aviation related experience or similar will be viewed favourably
    • Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
    • The ability to work autonomously and under supervision
    • A collaborator with an initiative-taking approach to tasks
    • Flexible and adaptable to meet changing operational demands
    • Provide assistance to engineers on aircraft departures and arrivals, including towing and husbandry
