    Workers Compensation Coordinator - Sydney Olympic Park / Hunter Region / Newcastle / Hybrid WFH

    • $45 - $60 per hour + Super
    • 3 month contract

    Client Overview

    2XM Recruit is proud to be partnering with the NSW Government who is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Workers Compensation Coordinator to support with complex workers compensation claims based in New South Wales. Contract position for a 3 month basis with the potential to extend.

    Key accountabilities of the role:

    • A sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in applying the principles of the Workers Compensation Act 1987, Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998, and amendments, WHS Act 2011, WHS Regulations 2011 and other associated WHS legislation.
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, high level advice and implementation of rehabilitation plans in a high risk management framework consistent with business goals and strategic objectives.
    • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of claims management strategies to improve outcomes and health and safety strategies and initiatives, including early intervention and psychological claims management.
    • A comprehensive understanding of workers compensation, injury management return to work ideally in a Health Care context and the commitment to identifying strategies to reduce claim duration and cost.
    • High level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, influence and drive outcomes and to work as part of a team or independently without supervision.
    • Demonstrated effective time management, prioritisation and decision making skills using strategic thinking for positive outcomes in Return to Work and Injury Management.

    Qualifications

    • SIRA accreditation – Return to Work Coordinator Certificate.
    • Workers compensation knowledge with complex claims.
    • Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use within NSW/Australia and willingness to travel
