- Provide intensive parenting support through individual counselling and education
- Deliver parenting education programs and workshops in prison-based settings
- Support parents and families have increase strengths in protective behaviours;
- Enhance emotional and social development for parents and children;
- Enhance parents' understanding of child development;
- Link children and their families to community supports;
- Promote good parenting techniques and resilience; and
- Foster healthy family relationships.
- Recognised tertiary level qualifications in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Social Sciences or related disciplines
- Experience delivering parenting programs or services.
- Experience in both group facilitation and provision of one-to-one supports.
- Ability to communicate effectively and support a range of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Demonstrated ability to be part of a team, contributing towards culturally responsive, quality service delivery and positive client outcomes.
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Record Check and Department of Justice Integrity Check.
- Possession of a current 'C' class driver's license and vehicle.
- National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.

About Centrecare

About the Role
This position is part of the ReSet consortium led by Wungening Aboriginal Corporation, providing support to men and women in prison to have new beginnings and break the cycle of offending. This position, in consultation with senior staff, ensures the agency provides high quality parenting supports to parents in custody, through facilitation of group parenting programs and individual supports. The role is a full-time position based in our Gosnells office, with service delivery across all Perth metropolitan prisons.
