    Role description:

    Due to recent project wins and our growing project list, Arcadis are looking for a Senior Independent Assurance Representative to join our growing team. This role will sit within the Independent Assurance Services team working on some state significant projects around Queensland. The current position sought is that of Independent Verifier's Representative on the Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 Project.

    Role accountabilities:

    • To manage the delivery of Independent Assurance for D&C, Alliance and PPP delivery models with capital value exceeding $1bil and contribute to bids and pursuits in liaison with Pursuit Leader and Client Relationship Director.
    • To manage and direct the project team, providing both leadership and technical guidance to team members, while developing the team to its full potential.
    • To ensure and /or implement right-shaping of resources and effective resource management in line with function/discipline business plan requirements.
    • Exceeding client expectations through championing the use of Client Expectation Briefs, their completion and feedback, effective review process, oversee the delivery of projects on time, meeting both quality and budgetary targets. Troubleshooting where required, and proactively working towards strengthening and broadening client relationships.

    Commercial management

    • Provide input into, and engagement with, the development and implementation of the strategy and vision as well as the discipline's business plan under Discipline Manager's management
    • Develop and display a high level of commercial and entrepreneurial expertise in the exercise of the duties of the role and ensure rigorous implementation of review process to enable clear understanding of risk and opportunity positions, within projects and/or at a wider business level.
    • Deliver business plan / reforecast P&L targets and working capital targets within project. Develop and consolidate enduring relationships with major clients with the aim of becoming consultant of choice with these clients.
    • Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the function/discipline's clients and the market to be aware of any business opportunities that arise.

    Operational management

    • Managing all aspects of resources on projects including;
      • maintenance of forecast resource requirements and
      • recommended appointment of project team members
    • Championing the involvement and inclusion of the GECs in work for the business by ensuring that staff understand the benefits and requirement of the inclusion of the GECs as a seamless part of our service offering
    • Work closely with the Technical Consultants and Project Managers on the technical review of the works and any technical issues that arise
    • Ensure rigorous implementation of review process and wider compliance with company systems
    • Build effective and enduring relationships with other teams in IAS, region, and other Arcadis offices and external bodies to foster co-operation and to maximise cross-sell and trade-up opportunities

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications (where applicable)
    • Construction project experience (including multi discipline project delivery)
    • Registered or accredited professional in your area of experience (where available)
    • Relevant professional services background
    • Extensive years of relevant experience
    • Demonstrated technical and commercial acumen
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills
    • Experience of working in multi discipline teams and/ or project teams
    • Ability to think in an innovative, solution driven and entrepreneurial manner
    • Proven high level proficiency in the understanding and application of Quality Management Systems
    • Understanding of Best Practice techniques in the construction industry
    • Effective written and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to lead a site team, as applicable
    • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally
