    Our client is seeking to engage a Quality & Compliance Officer.

    Location: Canberra, ACT

    Contract Length: Temp to Perm contract, Start - ASAP

    Eligibility/Security Requirement: Applicants must be Australian Citizens

    In this role, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following.

    • Rollout and maintain internal compliance with the company internal management system (ISO9001), Health and Safety and Environmental (ISO certification process.
    • Undertaking audits and inspections on site and office as required
    • Coordinate internal and external audit program to ensure audits are scheduled and conducted when required
    • Prepare agendas and meeting minutes relating to the Quality function, including Operational and Efficiency meetings.
    • Investigate non-conformance issues in collaboration with relevant departments
    • Attend and collaborate in all Quality and Continual Improvement Committees.
    • Perform internal reviews on various processes, providing written reports including recommendations to assist in the improvement of business operations,
    • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions in collaborations
    • with relevant departments
    • Follow up on actions being taken against recommendations raised to ensure closure is evidenced and outcome based.
    • Develop and write technical documentations such as manuals, procedures, work instructions, SOPs, and flow charts that are user friendly and meet target audience.
    • Gain a deep understanding of newly developed assets and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
    • Assist with maintaining Compliance Framework
    • Provision of advice to the wider business in updating policies and procedures to ensure its ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Manage enhancements to compliance processes and procedures to ensure they are effective and efficient
    • Monitor for legislative change that impacts the Operations team.
    • Provide training and guidance in relation to system documentation and any material change to procedures, instructions, plans
    • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance and compliance to ISO 9001 standards
    • Collaborate with key stake holders to establish and maintain quality control processes
    • Prepare quality performance reports as required.
    • From time to time, and within your skillset, assist the Quality, Compliance and Stakeholder Manager with tasks relating to Community Engagement.


    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    This role will suit someone looking to work locally and is seeking a busy role working in a small, close-knit team

    You'll also need:

    • Hold a Certificate IV in Quality Assurance
    • 5+ years' demonstrated experience in a quality assurance and/or compliance or related role
    • Auditor qualifications are highly desirable
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of ISO9001
    • Sound understanding of Australian legislation
    • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
    • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and process improvement techniques
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • A high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • High level of organizational skills
    • Ability to travel interstate from time to time.
