    The Opportunity

    Thiess has an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer at Curragh North.

    As our next Reliability Engineer, working a 9 day fortnight, responsibilities will include -

    • Taking the lead in enhancing reliability within the maintenance team by assessing the performance of all operational assets and executing asset improvement initiatives.
    • Scope, design, manage and implement site engineering projects within the mobile maintenance planning department.
    • Provide technical support to site operations performing failure analysis investigations and the review of relevant systems and procedures.
    • Enhance asset availability through component condition monitoring and trending, defect reporting, root cause analysis and fleet management system data.
    • Assist in the organisation and facilitating of risk assessments for all maintenance activities on site.
    • Reviewing maintenance strategies for statutory conformance and provide recommendations where amendments are required to improve reliability.
    • Mentor and guide future vacation and graduate engineers in their development whilst on site.

    About you

    • Minimum 2 years' experience within a similar position
    • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar desirable but not essential
    • Excellent attention to detail and time management
    • Proven knowledge of budget, time and outcomes within planning and design
    • Extensive knowledge of maintenance strategy development and problem solving
