    The Role

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial property construction management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Within your role, you will be responsible for the full end-to-end project lifecycle from concept, planning, construction execution, monitoring and control and project close. You will be supported by a collaborative team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Regularly visit the construction site to inspect ongoing work and ensure that it complies with the approved plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. Consult with the site manager to conduct risk analysis and manage project WHS&E requirements.
    • Monitor and manage construction quality, materials, and workmanship to ensure that the project meets the specified standards and codes.
    • Supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers. Coordinate and manage their work to ensure tasks are completed according to the project schedule.
    • Assist with and enforce HSEQ protocols and regulations on the construction site to protect workers, equipment, and the environment.
    • Monitor project costs and expenses, helping to ensure that the project stays within budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities when possible.
    • Seek materials suppliers nationwide or overseas and negotiate price and quality. Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and track the delivery of construction materials, ensuring they arrive on-site when needed.
    • Maintain open and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
    • Keep accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, permits, contracts, and change orders. Report any issues encountered.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction management is essential.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
    • Travelling / working away from Adelaide for short periods.
    • Builder license is not mandatory but is highly desirable.
