    About the School Kennedy State School is nestled in the beautiful Kennedy Valley on Girramay Country, and has a current enrolment of approximately 30 students.

    Kennedy is only a short 10 minute drive north of Cardwell and 20 minutes south of Tully.
    Our school supports children in the township of Kennedy as well as surrounding communities.

    About the Role As Head of Department (Curriculum), you will be leading the transition to Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum in our inclusive, multi-aged context.

    You will further develop staff capability in using high impact pedagogical strategies to support the implementation of the system's Reading Commitment.

    Key responsibilities of the role are: Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.

    Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
    Set high standards for student and staff performance.
    Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
    Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
