    • Salary Package: HEW Level 5 ($80,753 – $91,815 p.a.), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

    • Appointment Type: Continuing, Full-Time (35 hours per week)

    • Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus (North Ryde)

    THE ROLE

    The Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University is seeking to appoint a highly organised and experienced Learning Management Systems Administrator to maintain the faculty's learning management systems and technologies and provide support and training to staff on systems and platforms within the Faculty of Arts.

    Reporting to the Learning Design and Production Lead, and working with other learning design, production and learning management systems colleagues, this position will review, update and maintain content within learning management platforms. The role works collaboratively with stakeholders across the Faculty and the University to provide support and training to academic and professional staff in relation to systems and platforms; adopt and implement new learning, teaching and online delivery initiatives; improve administrative systems, processes and procedures, and participate in learning management system projects and working groups. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Learning Management Systems Administrator to enhance and extend the learning and teaching excellence in the Faculty of Arts.

    About You

    You will have an exceptional knowledge of and proven experience using web-based educational technology, learning management systems and student portals. Macquarie's iLearn LMS is based upon the Moodle LMS and experience of this specific platform is an advantage. Your strong relationship management skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, time management, organisational skills and ability to coordinate and excellent attention to detail will be key to success in this role.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Review, update and maintain learning management platforms
    • Develop, implement and/or improve administrative systems, processes and procedures
    • Work collaboratively with Faculty academic staff and relevant central teams (including the Office of the PVC (L & T)) to implement improvements to online teaching content and delivery methods to enhance student experience and engagement.
    • Provide learning and teaching support and training to academic and professional staff in relation to agreed learning management systems and platforms
    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Faculty and the University to adopt and implement new learning, teaching and online delivery initiatives.
    • Participate in learning management system projects and working groups as required.
    • Comply with relevant professional standards and codes of ethics and EEO and WHS regulations.
    • Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification

    • Tertiary qualification in learning technologies and systems and/or equivalent experience;
    • Relevant experience administering and supporting learning management systems;

    • Strong customer service focus and ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including academic and professional staff at varying levels;
    • Evidence of an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with successful outcomes;
