As an Allocator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient transport operations while working in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Allocate transport resources effectively to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
    • Coordinate with drivers, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
    • Monitor and track shipments to provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams.
    • Resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that arise during the transportation process.
    • Optimise route planning and vehicle utilization to minimise costs and enhance efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including data entry and documentation.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
    • Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing exceptional service and support.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Previous experience in transport allocation, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
    • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient computer skills, including experience with transportation management software or similar tools.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry practices is advantageous.
    • A positive attitude and a team player mentality.
