    Day One ELC - Deception Bay Campus endeavours to provide school-aged children with an after-hours and vacation care environment that meets the needs of the children to ensure that they are being nurtured and educated.

    Our team is constantly growing and needing to expand so that we can continue to provide the highest quality School Age Care program for our school community. An opportunity is available for a couple of positions; Diploma-qualified Lead Educator with experience running a busy and energetic before and after school and vacation care program, Educators studying an acceqa approved qualification as well as an Educator to drive our bus. We need Educators who are dedicated, professional and have a passion for creating engaging opportunities for school-age children in an environment that is challenging, engaging and safe. At Day One ELC -Deception Bay Campus we aim to provide a hands-on approach to educating children, with a focus on child-lead exploration, and development through play. Our educators will facilitate children's learning through guidance, implementation of child-centered programs, and by building supportive & trusting relationships. Our service will have an overall focus on the outcomes of the NQF and My Time, Our Place Framework for School Age Care. Our facilities have a purpose-built building with many areas for the children to create their own magic

    Key Selection Criteria:

    We are seeking child care, children's services, education or related professionals who have demonstrated capability and experience in:

    • working with school-age children;
    • open license
    • preparation and implementation of high quality, age-appropriate programs in school-age care, which include children and families in this process;
    • drivers license and willingness and experience to drive the centre bus;
    • effective communication and collaboration with children, families, and fellow staff members;
    • working and functioning as an effective member of a dynamic team
    • MTOP framework and the requirements of the National Quality Standard;
    • ongoing development of school-age care practices through ongoing training and professional development.
    • We are currently seeking Diploma-Qualified OSHC Lead Educator to lead the program. During term time there may be a need to work split shifts.

    This is an ideal opportunity for you to build on your practical experience and knowledge in caring for children from ages 5 to 12 years. Your excellent communication skills give you the ability to build relationships with students, parents staff and the broader school community.

    You will be involved in the preparation and delivery of programmes which are educational and fun

    Experience in a similar role with previous OSHC employment is essential.

    You must hold a Certificate III, Studying Education and or hold your Diploma in Children Services if not a higher qualification, hold a current paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check), as well as hold a current First Aid Certificate.
