    Description

    We are looking to engage the services of an experienced Motel General Manager or Management Couple able to drive the day-to-day operations of a large Motel composed of 55 accommodation rooms of various configuration, a Restaurant, and Bar.

    This role is ideally suited to an individual or couple with strong business acumen seeking an enjoyable and challenging work environment in a growing regional Australian town.

    Whilst previous motel and/or restaurant management experience would be a strong advantage, we would be willing to train the right couple able to demonstrate a passion to succeed in the hospitality industry.


    The successful couple will be required to:
    Manage all areas of guest and customer relations, including inquiries, guest experience, checking-in/out, group bookings, conference bookings, etc;
    Provide first-line management of property reservations through Phone, Web, Email, Walk-in, and online channels;
    Conduct first-line financial management of property accounting;
    Compile weekly and monthly property reports;
    Participate in weekly management team conference calls;

    Manage all property staff, including:
    talent acquisition, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline staff as required; and
    Control staff hours to ensure that no unnecessary expenses are incurred;One of the couple preferably with cooking abilities
    Stay engaged across all property facilities to maintain high standards of property and room functionality/cleanliness through a formal quality assurance process;
    Overseeing the sustainment and maintenance of property upgrades;
    Ensure the Motel Property (Accommodation areas, Pool, Restaurant, and Bar) is run in accordance with company policies;
    Organise all events across the property and allocate resources accordingly;
    Ensure stock levels are maintained to sustain all business-as-usual activities;
    Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements; and
    Escalate issues to Company Directors as necessary.

    In addition, you will need to maintain high levels of energy and present with a customer focused demeanor in sometimes challenging situations.

    You will need to take pride in your service delivery and the standard of quality provided by the property.
    You will be able to build and maintain enduring relationships with your staff, guests, and customers.

    You will be required to work autonomously, with full support from a dynamic company committed to the successful growth of our business model.

    The successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary package, including incentives and onsite accommodation in a 2-bedroom apartment with utilities, meals, and internet included.
