    About the Role

    We seek a Condition Monitoring Technician to join our close-knit, supportive and results-driven team. This is a FIFO role from Perth, 8 days on 6 days off (day shift only). You will make a valuable contribution towards the safe execution of maintenance and ensure delivery of "best in class" fixed plant reliability and availability. This is an opportunity to undertake activities that will create maximum operational and commercial value for our mining operations.

    Working closely with multiple stakeholders (including senior leadership), you will gain exposure across electrical, mechanical, processing, engineering, maintenance and work management functions. You will be a key contributor to the innovation that is continually transforming the way we work at BHP.

    You will be reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance (FPM) Condition Monitoring Supervisor.

    Key focus areas include:

    • Driving improvements to champion safety
    • Proactively complete condition monitoring and Fuel, Lubricants, Air, Coolants (FLAC) tasks to meet business objectives
    • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and FLAC processes
    • In field verification to ensure the completion of routine plant equipment maintenance

    About You

    Desired qualifications include:

    • VCAT 2 Vibration Analysis (essential)
    • LCAT 1 Oil Analysis (essential)
    • Level 1 Ultrasonics (highly desirable)
    • 3D Scanning experience (advantageous)

    The following attributes will greatly assist your success in role:

    • A genuine commitment to safety and sustainable development
    • Tertiary qualifications preferably in engineering or a relevant technical/trade qualification
    • Relevant practical experience within an engineering and/or technical discipline
    • Proficiency in computerised maintenance systems (Fiori, SAP)
    • Working autonomously and being proactive to drive improvements
    • Proficiency in communication and reporting
    • Willingness to continue learning about Condition Monitoring and attain relevant qualifications if needed
