    Job Description:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct assessment and intervention within various settings, including home, school, preschool, early learning settings, and the clinic.
    • Assessment and intervention will primarily focus on the child's early play skills, social skills, daily living skills (e.g. dressing, toileting, feeding), and fine motor skill development.
    • Provide individualised transdisciplinary early intervention to manage issues impacting learning, behavior, motor, sensory, processing, and achieving developmental milestones (e.g. enhancing a child's independence, self-care, play, and social skills).
    • Work in partnership with families, mainstream services, and other stakeholders to promote the child's development and participation in their home and community life.
    • Select, implement, and monitor assistive technology and mobility equipment prescription.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration or membership with relevant professional body.
    • A current drivers license and willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check, NSW Working with Children's Check, and VIC Working with Children's Check.
    • An interest in or experience working to support children with a disability and their families, as well as an understanding of complex needs.
    • Experience and/or knowledge of relevant formal and standardised assessments.
    • Experience and/or understanding of setting goals and implementing evidence-based therapy across a diverse range of disorders.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong rapport and relationships with clients, carers, staff, and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team.
    • Effective written and communication skills, time management, and organisational skills.
    • Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
    • A high level of enthusiasm and positive attitude.
    • Experience in supporting infants and young children with delays/disabilities and their families, adapting home, play, and learning environments, and prescribing and implementing adaptive equipment.
