Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction.

    Job Description

    We are seeking to appoint a Principal Civil Engineer in our Gold Coast office. This is a newly created role due to strong organic growth. You will report directly into the State Director and have the backing of a team of over 100 experts nationally. You will be tasked with leading a project delivery team in a bid to achieve client commitments and build client advocacy and confidence.

    Specifically:

    • Manage and deliver projects from due diligence through to development application, co-ordination of designs and contract administration
    • Negotiation with stakeholders (clients, Authorities, other consultants etc) in relation to project deliverables (approvals, applications, contractual matters) to ensure the successful delivery of projects
    • Develop relationships with potential clients and improve/maintain existing client relationships
    • Assist Principal Engineers with forecasted workloads to meet project deliverables
    • Contribute to sustainable profit generation and growth
    • Manage commercial risk and demonstrate responsible judgement
    • Recruit, manage, train and mentor staff
    • Manage financial targets including budgets, profitability etc

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience planning and managing projects through involvement in all stages of project delivery
    • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
    • Experience budgeting, commercial acumen, and risk management
    • High level industry awareness and engagement
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
    • REPQ certification desirable
