    Job Summary

    Seeking a professional in the field of Corrosion Engineering to join the Global Manufacturing Excellence organization under the Downstream Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). This technical team is diverse, offering top-notch support to GM operating facilities globally, specializing in refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants. Primary responsibilities include providing technical support to operations, projects, technological implementations, and nurturing new talent in the field of corrosion engineering by conducting specialized studies, analysis, and consultations. Key role requirements involve managing corrosion control programs, conducting risk assessments, reviewing solutions for coating and cathodic protection failures, participating in reviews, managing water treatment programs, and validating material selections based on industry standards and codes.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement corrosion management program and on-stream monitoring.
    • Conduct risk-based inspections following API-580 methodology.
    • Review and approve solutions for coating and cathodic protection issues.
    • Participate in HAZOP reviews and address all concerns.
    • Manage water treatment programs and provide solutions for challenges.
    • Validate corrosion controls and damage mechanisms regularly.
    • Assess composition changes and recommend solutions for asset integrity.
    • Lead technology implementation and field operations.
    • Transfer knowledge on corrosion controls and best practices.
    Requirements

    Applicants must be open to relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, specifically mechanical engineering, is essential. Prior experience of at least 12 years in the Oil & Gas industry is required, with expertise in material science, NDT technology, and welding engineering. Proficiency in international standards and codes such as NACE, ASME, API, and ASTM, especially related to inspection and corrosion, is a must. Holding a valid NACE Specialist Certification or equivalent is necessary. Additional certifications in corrosion technology are beneficial.
