We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll & Finance Officer to become an integral part of our Finance & Administration team. This full-time role is pivotal in managing the weekly end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for a diverse workforce. The successful candidate will also oversee leave entitlement calculations, generate detailed payroll reports, and provide expert support for payroll-related inquiries.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and purpose-driven team, while enhancing payroll operations within a supportive, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll, including onboarding new employees, terminations, and leave applications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Calculate workers' compensation, long service leave entitlements, and other employee benefits.
- Review & process monthly Credit Card Expense Forms
- Accounts Payable Process, Review, Pay & Reconcile (MYOB & NetSuite)
- Accounts Receivable Process, Review & Reconcile (MYOB & NetSuite)
- Monthly Superannuation Review, Reconcile, Process & Pay
- Weekly PAYG Review, Reconcile, Process & Pay
- Process weekly payroll journals
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for
- Provide support and training for staff on payroll systems and procedures.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in high-volume payroll processing, ideally managing pay runs for over 300 employees
- Experience processing payroll for a minimum of employees
- MYOB Payroll Experience
- Strong knowledge of awards, EBAs, taxation, superannuation, and payroll legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- High-level interpersonal and communication abilities.
- General finance administration experience AP AR
- Australian work rights are required for this position
Desirable Criteria
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
- NetSuite experience
