    You will be responsible for

    :
    • Ensuring process-safety-related risk framework meets corporate objectives and legislative requirements associated with Major Hazard Facility;
    • Providing expert guidance on the implementation and improvement of operation, maintenance and technical practices associated with Process Safety Management;
    • Monitoring, measuring, reporting, reviewing and continually improving MMO's Process Safety and Risk Management Systems;
    • Facilitating risk assessments (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, BowTie) for both capital projects and operational activities;
    • Providing expert input into Operations incident investigations; and
    • Championing process safety awareness amongst employees and contractors.
    About You
    This role would suit an experienced Process Safety Engineer looking to expand their knowledge and make a positive impact within a complex processing environment. You will also have:
    • Tertiary qualifications at degree level - Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an aligned discipline (Essential);
    • Process Safety Audit / Assurance experience & Postgraduate qualifications in Process Safety / Risk Management (Preferred);
    • Extensive large-scale nickel and cobalt processing experience, or similar continuous complex chemical process experience (Preferred);
    • Exposure to managing costs and budgeting and providing leadership to a team;
    • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas; and
    • High level understanding of all relevant legislation relevant to role in the mining industry in Western Australia.
