    About the role:

    We are currently seeking a part-time Community Engagement Worker to join our team at headspace Emerald. The headspace Community Engagement Worker will promote the services of headspace Emerald and help young people gain early access to health and wellbeing services.

    What will a typical day look like?

    • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of a Community Awareness Strategy.
    • Design and coordinate headspace event and the organisations participation in events for target groups to increase the profile of headspace. This includes promotional days, education sessions, training, engagement activities and information sessions.
    • Work closely with centre staff to ensure that the impact of any campaign/event is addressed at the planning stages so that clinical staff are available to manage increased referrals.
    • Maintain websites and utilise social media to develop opportunities for youth engagement and service promotion.
    • Produce documents and promotional material of a professional standard that comply with branding policy, suitable for external communication to a variety of target audiences.
    • Build relationships with external service providers and report on opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships that progress headspace Emerald towards its objectives.
    • Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationship to positively represent headspace Emerald to the public, community, government and other organisations.

    Mandatory Requirements:

    • Full COVID-19 Vaccination
    • Certificate IV Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Development, Social/Behavioural Science, Social Work/Planning, or a related discipline with relevant experience.
    • Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
    • Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
