    About Acumen

    As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant at Acumen Health you will apply your clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury.     • Taking a holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing
    • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise. This could include functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
    • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
    • Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans.

    KPI's based on service delivery outcomes, NOT billable hours. Genuine person-centred focus and goal setting.

    Set working hours means you can truly have WORK / LIFE balance – no overtime, no outside of work hours work. Enjoy early starts and early finishes: 7:30am - 3:30pm. You will be working on base at the HMAS Stirling Health Centre (Garden Island). If you like a little more variety in your work setting, we also have a Full-Time role that will see you working across two ADF bases. Three days you will be based at Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne and the other two days at Stirling. Upon application, if you could please confirm if you have a specific preference for either role.

    Joining a high-quality service provider, you will be SUPPORTED and MENTORED through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (incl. ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and expertise setting you up for success.

    What will make you successful:

    • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW)
    • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing or Social Work
    • Strong clinical reasoning
    • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
    • Passion to help people rehabilitate
