    Description

    We are working with an industry-leading consulting firm who are looking for a junior ESG professional to join their ESG and Climate Services team in Sydney. They will play a crucial role in supporting the ESG team, helping managers with project delivery, and coordinating their services. Their team specializes in offering a comprehensive range of assurance and consulting services aimed at providing assurance in emissions reporting and crediting schemes, strengthening ESG Strategy Development, Integrated ESG Risk Management, and Reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support assurance projects under various emissions reporting and crediting schemes, such as the NGER Act, ACCU Scheme, and ESS, among others.
    • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team across diverse industries to help companies navigate the complex ESG/Sustainability and Decarbonization landscape.
    • Analyse of corporate activities, offering recommendations to strengthen sustainability/ESG strategies.
    • Assist in the development of sustainability/ESG programs and related reporting, including materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement.
    • Conduct fieldwork, data analysis, and report preparation.
    • Assist Senior Consultants and Managers in client relationships and business development.

    Education Requirements:

    • Degree in Business, Commerce, Environmental, or Engineering.
    • Relevant certification or professional membership.

    Experience & Attributes:

    • 1-2 years of auditing experience, preferably in consulting or a related industry.
    • Understanding of environmental and energy compliance, governance, and reporting including NGERS, ACCU, ERF, and NSW ESS.
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Reliable, motivated, and capable of providing practical recommendations.
    • Understanding of risk management and ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard.
    • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems and compliance.
