    The role supports the delivery of projects by the Corporation by providing support, and advice; establishing and maintaining systems, tools and reports; and undertaking research, analysis, and stakeholder consultation.

    Macquarie Point Development Corporation is Hobart's premier urban renewal project that will see a 9.3Ha former industrial site revitalised into an exciting destination.

    Macquarie Point Development Corporation is a statutory corporation and state agency, charged with planning, facilitating and managing the remediation, reuse and long-term development of Macquarie Point, including the development of the Multipurpose Stadium at Macquarie Point. The Corporation was established and is governed by the Macquarie Point Development Corporation Act 2012. Our work is overseen by a Board, comprising the Chairperson, CEO, and between three and six directors appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of the Minister for State Development.

    Duties

    • Support the management of major projects and initiatives and provision of project management advice across the Corporation and independently undertake multiple projects or sub elements of larger projects.
    • Prepare and maintain project management frameworks and associated documentation managed by the Corporation's Project Team, including setting up the necessary systems to create a formal Project Management Office within the Corporation.
    • Prepare and maintain project information, and related reporting, planning and databases to support project design, planning, delivery, implementation and reporting.
    • Maintain the Corporation's PMO365 project reporting database and ensure key data is updated regularly for external reporting purposes, including the export and quality review of reports for a variety of external audiences.
    • provide support to governance structures to for the design, planning, delivery and implementation of projects, and their supporting consultative and engagement forums.
    • Foster productive working relationships and liaise with stakeholders, including internal workgroups, other government agencies, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.
    • Maintain an awareness of activities, projects and the political environment that could impact on the implementation of the Corporation's key deliverables.
    • In conjunction with the broader team, actively engage and contribute to the development of projects and business practices that enhance the quality of the Corporation's outputs.
    • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
