Due to continued growth, we are hiring a Return-to-Work Coordinator to join Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Head of Health & Safety, the successful applicant's primary responsibility is to coordinate workplace injury claims and provide support to injured workers throughout their recovery and return to work.

In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to take a proactive approach to promote injury prevention, wellbeing and be part of the Safety & Wellbeing team operating across NSW/ACT, with support from a range of subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the implementation of best practice workers' compensation and injury management strategies, initiatives and systems to continually improve current and future performance
• Provide advice, guidance and support to the business on all workers compensation and injury management including early intervention and stay at work initiatives
• Coordinate the rehabilitation of injured workers following an injury including development and updating of return to work/rehabilitation programs, maintaining accurate case notes
• Engage in workplace meetings, case conferences and claims reviews
• Maintain data information in the injury management system/database
• Opportunity for travel to regional sites

Selection Criteria:

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency status essential (We do not offer sponsorship for this particular role)
• 2 - 5 years demonstrated experience in injury management and rehabilitation
• Holder of a Return-to-Work Coordinator Certification for NSW
• Experience in providing advice in workers compensation and injury rehabilitation/case management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring accurate timely record keeping and communication with key parties
• Comfortable handling your own administration and being the first point of contact for all enquiries
• Strong understanding and demonstrated application of legislation for claims and rehabilitation management
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build constructive and effective relationships
