An exciting opportunity exists for a manager to lead the School Maintenance Plan (SMP) program.

The School Maintenance Plan (SMP) is a 5-year plan that supports schools to address maintenance issues identified through condition assessment audits as well as build a routine maintenance schedule to prevent the recurrence of maintenance issues. Using their SMPs, schools can budget, schedule, and manage the maintenance of their buildings and grounds. The VSBA supports schools in the development and operationalisation of their SMP, including through delivering workshops and one-on-one advice to schools. The SMP is an important initiative that empowers schools to make informed decisions about the maintenance activities within the school. It also enables schools to schedule works more efficiently to get better value for money, representing a shift from a reactive to a planned and preventative approach to maintenance.
