    The Role

    Reporting to the Assistant Secretary, Workers' Compensation Policy Branch, the Director, Workers' Compensation Review is responsible for leading the departmental team supporting the review of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act).The Government has announced a comprehensive review of the SRC Act, the legislation underpinning the Comcare workers' compensation scheme.

    The review will address all aspects of the scheme, including governance, usability and entitlements, and provide recommendations to modernise and futureproof the scheme.

    The review will be led by an independent panel of experts.

    The Director will lead a team responsible for:
    Strategic policy advice, research and analysis to support the review.
    Managing governance arrangements and providing advice and support to the expert panel.
    Project management for the review including tracking the project budget.
    Procurement of specialist expert advice to support the review.
    Coordinate stakeholder consultations for the expert panel.
    Secretariat support for the review and for panel members.
    Lead engagement and collaborate with senior leadership and internal and external stakeholders to progress the review.

    The Opportunity

    This position is available to Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and APS employees as a temporary transfer at leveland/ora temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 9 months.

    Eligibility
    Our successful candidate will need to hold a val id Baseline c learance to undertake the role.
