    Description

    The role

    Reporting to the National DTX Manager, we currently have an exciting opportunity for full-time experienced document specialist operator to join the DTX Department (headquarters based in Brisbane). This role will see you working with a team of 10 operators providing a full range of high-quality document specialist services to the firm nationally covering all areas of law.

    The hours for this role are:

    PM Shift - 2 to 10pm or 1pm to 9pm, Monday to Friday with a half hour meal break.

    Key responsibilities

    In this varied, challenging and busy role you will be responsible for:

  • Working with client documents in accordance with their format, layout and structure
  • Creating specialised client templates
  • Creating documents from PDF to Word
  • Comparing documents, PDF to PDF, PDF to Word, Word to Word
  • Transcribing meetings, interviews and teleconferences
  • Working with the firm's library of precedents
  • Creating/maintaining Excel spreadsheets
  • Assembling multiple documents into a single PDF
  • Working with graphics and images
  • Working with interactive PDFs, eg. LPI forms
  • Working/editing PDF files, eg. bookmarking, paginating, redacting, hyperlinking etc.
  • Rendering handwritten or dictated edits to documents

    • Skills & Experience

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Typing speed of 90 WPM (minimum)
  • At least 5 years' legal WP experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to working on various job types
  • Advanced skillset and capabilities in Microsoft Word (specifically with client style documents and specialised templates)
  • Advanced skillset and experience in PowerPoint
  • Advanced skillset and experience in Microsoft Visio
  • Advanced skillset and experience with PDF programs
