    Senior Payroll Officer

    AccountAbility are pleased to be working with a global logistics company based in Sydney.

    A well-respected organisation is looking to recruit a senior payroll officer on a two-month contract via AccountAbility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Accurately process approved timesheets for payroll.
    • Apply in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and Awards to correctly handle allowances, overtime, and various pay codes.
    • Generate and manage wage reports.
    • Secure approvals for wage reports.
    • Make corrections and adjustments to pays in line with EAs/Awards.
    • Set up new employee records and manage employee changes.
    • Calculate and prepare termination payments.
    • Address and resolve payroll queries from site personnel.
    • Draft calculations for manual payments and process approved redundancy payments.
    • Handle child support deductions.
    • Perform any additional tasks as assigned.

    The right candidate must possess the following skills:

    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Self-directed and motivated.
    • Ability to work in a small team in a high volume and time-sensitive environment.
    • Strong analysis, interpretation and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Functional understanding and experience with iChris/Chris 21 payroll.
