    The Role:

    Whilst the successful applicant will primarily work in our Infrastructure & Renewables divisions, there is the potential to be involved in some of RJE Global's diverse and exciting projects across our portfolio.

    We are seeking a full time qualified and experienced Senior Overhead Lines Engineer with Utility Experience.
    A background in Distribution and Transmission Lines Design from 33-330k V is preferrable.

    The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Morphettville, Adelaide with occasional travel to site a requirement especially during the commissioning phase of our projects.

    As a Senior Overhead Lines Engineer, you will be responsible for: Planning and estimating costs of projects & assisting the tendering team with input into Overhead Power Line (OHL) costs and estimates; Reviewing drawing, specifications & documentation to assist the Designers for both OHL & substation deliverables; Assisting with generating drawing bill of materials (BOM) & helping identify appropriate products / hardware to provide to the procurement team; Ensuring construction is going to plan and in accordance with contract program / schedules & assist Project Managers with required inputs; Developing Auto CAD skills for simple drawing changes / sketches or product dimensional checks; Conducting Transmission Line route selection and feasibility studies; Assisting in developing conceptual design specifications, insulator selection, design criteria, conductor selection and basis of design; Preparing design drawings, such as plan and profile, line schedules, insulator assemblies, structural general arrangements and clearance diagrams; Conducting structural design and assessment of OHL towers and poles; Ensuring the processes of RJE Global's Quality Management System are generated & followed for various projects undertaken; Assisting in a quality inspection and test package that is developed for the project construction in consultation with RJE Global's Compliance Manager; Ensuring equipment and materials are ordered to assist in the effective scheduled installation of project related items; Carrying out their roles, responsibilities and accountabilities as detailed in legislation and RJE Global's WHS policies and procedures; Ensuring that materials and equipment comply with legislative requirements and industry standards, as far as is reasonably practicable; Leading and mentoring Graduate Engineers within the company as required; Providing Commissioning and technical assistance for MV & HV Systems; Requirements: Bachelor level qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering required At least 5 years' relevant employment experience working in Transmission Line design required Excellent analytical and communication skills required At least 5 years' relevant design and development experience of overhead and underground transmission lines, preferably within a greenfield project required At least 5 years' advanced experience using PLS-CADD and associated packages required PLS-Tower experience is highly regarded; At least 5 years' experience using site-based surveying GPS tools and equipment desired Advanced drafting ability in Auto CAD required Advanced knowledge of Australian NSP's and design required Ability to undertake regular interstate and rural travel required Approximately $180,000.00 per year.
