    The Company

    Our client is a well established food manufacturing operation that specialises in the production of a wide range of high-quality products and is renowned for producing high quality great options for the food sector.

    The Role

    • Lead and manage the Production Team in producing products in a safe, environmentally sound, cost-effective manner and to formally improve how this is done
    • Ensuring that procedures to minimise safety and health risks to personnel in your department are in place and practiced.
    • The Production Manager is responsible for optimising production output at the lowest possible cost to the quality standards.
    • The Production Manager is responsible and accountable for the operation of a manufacturing business unit (Line) from receipt of raw materials to finished goods packing including the direction, management, training and development of production, technical and engineering personnel via both direct and 'dotted line' management hierarchy.
    • The Production Manager is responsible for nurturing, growing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across the balanced score card.

    Skills & Experience

    • Strong leadership with the ability to achieve results through team development including; coaching, communication, skills development
    • Uncompromising safety and quality focus - instigates proactive measures to minimise risks within the workplace
    • Sound understanding of the key levers that influence and/or improve the financial performance of the business
    • "Can Do" attitude with strong problem-solving skills, this includes the ability to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo
    • Ability to juggle several conflicting priorities at the same time, without losing focus on the detail
