    About the role

    NHVR is searching for a Senior Finance Business Partner to lead the delivery of proactive financial business partnering to internal clients, advising and supporting them on all financial aspects including meeting objectives, ensuring compliance and tracking performance.

    The role is responsible for contributing to the effective functioning of the finance team and provide expert advice and support in order to educate and inform the business of their financial management results and responsibilities.

    More specifically, the role undertakes a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:

    • Complete Cost Centre and Divisional reports and dashboard, reviewing monthly and YTD results and providing insights and analysis to support the business meeting its financial objectives.
    • Work with the business to reforecast expenditure and revenue in order to understand the impact of changed priorities or unexpected events against budget.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of a forecast and costing model to support NHVR longer term viability.
    • Assist with driving annual budget review including partnering with business to deliver budget outcomes.
    • Contribute to identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of work practices and processes.

    Based in our head office in Brisbane, we are searching for a Finance expert on a temporary full-time basis for 12 months. Working with a family friendly team, we offer a supportive, hybrid work environment with flexible work from home arrangements.

    About You

    To be successful for the role, you will have:

    • A minimum of eight years' experience in accounting and finance roles coupled with tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or commerce related field
    • Demonstrated understanding and experience in applying financial policies & processes in compliance with legislative and business requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability in using financial management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
    • An understanding in the application of Australian Accounting Standards.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and escalate issues as required.
    • Demonstrated, effective interpersonal and communication skills with ability to inform and influence management decisions.
    • Effective time management skills and a high level of attention to detail, while working in a fast-paced role with multiple priorities.
    • The ability to take the initiative and work collaboratively with your team, showing a positive attitude, strong work ethic and team oriented.
