    Community Transport Driver

    • Part time, ongoing position (15 hours per week)

    • $65,589 per annum (pro rata to be applied) plus Super

    A little bit about the role

    Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual (or individuals) to provide transport services to residents, aged over 65 years, who have been assessed by My Aged Care as eligible, and have selected Council as their Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) preferred provider.

    The primary objective of the role is to provide transport to a range of locations to support clients to remain living independently.

    What will you bring to the role?

    To be successful in this role you will possess an understanding and have empathy for our ageing community and people with a disability. You will have well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact in a positive way with a diverse range of people.

    As a minimum requirement, you will hold a light rigid licence together with a current Victorian Driver's licence. You must hold a Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to undertake this certificate) and have demonstrated experience working with older people or people who have a disability.

    Employment Requirements

    • Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check.
    • All local government employees must be fully vaccinated to perform work outside of their place of residence. Appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to provision of evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
